The University of Vienna currently provides a diploma (“Magister”) and PhD degree in psychology. The bachelor of science in psychology will be implemented in October 2010, the master progam in psychology will be implemented in October 2011.

Since October 2005, there is a selection procedure for the diploma study of psychology. The number of admitted students is limited to 600 per academic year. With the implementation of the bachelor of science in psychology in October 2010, the selection procedure will change. The test of the selection procedure will be on 1st of September 2010. 

You are only eligible for admission to the bachelor program after passing the selection procedure. The results will be made available in time before the classes start.

The classes of the psychology programs at the University of Vienna are being thought in German. Therefore very good knowlegde of the German language is obligatory.
